David Bates
Although interested in politics, David was precluded by Federal Law from actively participating until he retired from NSA in 2000. He had a career as an electrical engineer and manager that spanned over 30 years. During that time, he supported Gail in her political career and time in the Maryland Legislature, and got to know the workings of the Republican party in the country and the many activitists, candidates and elected officials over the past 30 years. David looks forward to serving the Republican party in Howard County as a member of the Central Committee.
David L. Bates has been a resident on Howard County since 1977. He and his wife Gail live in West Friendship where they raised two sons who attended Howard County Schools.

Laura Kittleman
Shortly after graduating from college, she taught herself computer programming. During the 1980s and 1990s, she climbed the corporate ladder in Information Technology. Laura's technology career culminated with building and selling an Internet software company that she co-founded with her husband Tom. An entrepreneur at heart, she then set her sights on a life-long passion, real estate. She and Tom founded Kittleman Realty Group, a team of Keller Williams Realty, and have grown the business into one of the top-producing teams in Howard County. Laura knows what's involved in running a small business and wholeheartedly supports the pro-business principles of the Republican Party.
Laura's dad, Senator Robert H. Kittleman, worked tirelessly to make the place he loved even better. His involvement in the civil rights movement inspired her and showed her firsthand the value of passion and commitment to others - and of hard work. After knocking on thousands of doors, Bob Kittleman, in 1982, became the first Republican elected to the Maryland House of Delegates from Howard County in over sixty years. That election spurred the growth of the Republican Party in Howard County. Her brother, Allan, carries on the proud family tradition as Minority Leader in the State Senate. Laura is excited and eager to join the other hard working and dedicated members of the Central Committee to support our Republican candidates and build a true two-party system in Maryland.
Laura grew up in Allview Estates, in the heart of Howard County. She is a product of Maryland's higher education system, graduating from Atholton High School and obtaining a bachelor's degree in psychology from University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC).

Ellen Harrison
Our family grew to include five wonderful children, Tighe, Lyndsay, Drew, Brent and Hope. Upon the birth of our fifth child I became a stay at home mom. I have served on the Home and School Board of the Trinity School, in Ilchester , Md., where my two oldest children attended, and am an active volunteer at Resurrection St. Paul School where my three younger children are currently attending. I serve on the Executive Board of Forest Hill Swim and Tennis Club as secretary where our family has spent many wonderful summers. Having served the citizens of Howard County for the past 21 years as a community volunteer, I humbly ask for your support in running for the Republican Central Committee.
Born in New York City, New York to conservative Republicans who actively marched in the Civil Rights Movement of the sixties, I moved to Maryland right before Middle school. After attending Severna Park High school, I registered to vote as a Republican and attended the University of Maryland, graduating with a degree in Elementary Education. I then married my college sweetheart, Howard "Chip" Harrison, and moved to Howard County, where I became employed by the Howard County Board of Education as a classroom teacher. While working, I enrolled at Loyola College in Baltimore, and earned a Masters Degree, eventually becoming a Reading Specialist for the county.
